Customise the type

Standard

Available with the following materials and finishes:

Waterproof polypropylene material

Highly durable plastic vinyl material. Tear, scratch and UV resistant. Ideal if liquid contact is possible, or you just want high durability. Recyclable.

Available with these finishes:

  • Uncoated – No lamination, giving a middle-ground finish between gloss and matt.
  • Gloss lamination – A shiny finish with even more durability thanks to the laminate coating.
  • Matt lamination – A silky finish. Also with more durability due to the lamination.

Both lamination options add a 10% additional charge.

Uncoated
Gloss Finish
Matt
Paper material

Premium paper stock that’s not waterproof or as strong as vinyl, but still holds up well to light abrasion such as being regularly handled. It’s also a lower cost than waterproof polypropylene. Recyclable and biodegradable.

Available with these finishes:

  • Gloss finish – Shiny
  • Matt finish – Silky.
🞬

Clear

Printed on transparent waterproof plastic with the following options:

Choose the print direction

Normal print has the adhesive on the back and the design on the front. Reverse print has the design on the adhesive side, so it can be stuck onto a transparent surface (like a window) and show the design on the opposite side of the glass. If in doubt, normal print is most likely what you require.

Choose the adhesive

Standard adhesive has a strong hold designed for permanent use. Low tack adhesive is better for temporary use as it’s easier to remove.

Would you like white ink?

Coloured inks printed on clear plastic can be semi-opaque. With white ink, we’ll print a layer of white underneath the printed parts of your design to make them more vibrant. You should also choose this option if you want any parts of your design printed in visible white (such as white text).

Choose a finish
  • Standard finish – No lamination, giving a middle-ground finish between gloss and matt.
  • Gloss lamination – A shiny finish with even more durability thanks to the laminate coating.

Hand apply – No specific set up of the stickers/labels on the roll. Best for applying by hand.

Machine apply – Explain the required orientation/leading edge, winding, number of labels per roll, max roll diameter and anything else you need. This is very important if you’re putting the rolls into a mechanical label applicator. If we need any clarification we’ll contact you.

Machine Apply

To make the rolls compatible with your sticker or label applicator, explain any details such as the required:

  • Orientation/leading edge
  • Winding
  • Number of labels per roll
  • Max roll diameter
  • or anything else you need

You can also enter the specific number of rolls you require, and we’ll divide the overall sticker/label quantity by the number of rolls (so if you order 1000 labels and 5 rolls, each roll will have 200 labels).

Do I need this?

These settings are very important if you’re putting the rolls into a mechanical label applicator, as the rolls must be compatible with your equipment (which can vary).

If we need any clarification about what you’ve entered, we’ll contact you before we print.

What are Polypropylene Labels and Stickers?

Polypropylene labels are made with a thermoplastic polymer that’s very durable and hard-wearing, making them ideal for products that are being stored in less-than-ideal conditions, or are going to be used in high-touch environments.

Totally customisable and with a range of finishes to choose from, polypropylene is the ideal material choice for great looking labels and stickers that perform well in almost any scenario.

Benefits of Polypropylene Labels and Stickers

Polypropylene labels are waterproof and weatherproof, including built-in UV resistance to perform well even in outdoor conditions.

Their waterproof properties also makes them impervious to most liquids, making them ideal for liquid product labelling where the contents may come into contact.

They are also tear and scratch resistant, making them very durable when rough contact or abrasion might be an issue, especially when laminated.

The material, inks and adhesive are also resistant to a wide range of temperatures. Polypropylene labels can be suitable for use in conditions up to 80°C, and up to 95°C for short periods of time. As for colder temperatures, the adhesive labels can handle as low as -30°C.

Plus, polypropylene provides a primed, ultra-smooth surface for label printing, allowing for very sharp detail and vibrant colour.

Types of Polypropylene Labels and Stickers

There are various types of polypropylene labels. The most popular is the traditional white which allows for normal, full-colour printing.

Alternatively there are specialist options like clear, with a transparent background, to allow your sticker or label to blend more seamlessly into the background surface it’s applied on.

There’s also metallic, where specialist inks allow for multi-colour metallic with a foil effect to give a striking look that helps to stand out. These options are also available with gloss and matt laminates to either make your label look shiny and reflective, or more silky and less reflective.

Polypropylene Label Printing Options

We pride ourselves on offering the most convenient printing options possible, which is why we offer either sheets, rolls or individually cut labels to suit your needs.

If you have a specific label applicator, such as a machine, you’ll also likely require rolls of labels set up in a specific way (such as orientation/leading edge). You can list these requirements during the order process and we’ll incorporate them to ensure roll compatibility.

All of our labels are printed using cutting-edge Indigo commercial press technology, ensuring the crispest, most vibrant finished design.
