  • Product Information

Kiss-cut stickers consist of an adhesive sticker sheet with each design cut out part-way through the sheet. This allows the stickers to be peeled off one at a time while keeping the sheet intact. This is why they’re called “kiss cut”, as the cut is only made through the sticker material and not all the way through the backing. They’re a fantastic way to distribute multiple sticker designs and shapes on single sheets. Perfect for branding, merchandise, marketing, freebies and much more.

    How to order
There are two ways we can accept your artwork. Firstly, you can upload an EPS, AI or ### file with one layer showing the design, and another layer showing the kiss cut outlines you would like. The second option is to send us a flat artwork file (PDF or JPEG) and tell us where you would like the kiss-cuts to be made. Generally, it’s fairly obvious where the cuts are needed just by looking at the artwork. If this is the case, we’ll create a PDF proof showing the design and cut lines for your approval before we start printing. Either way, we’ll always manually review and proof your artwork before proceeding, so you have complete piece of mind that your stickers will turn out perfect. Once they’re printed with our industry-leading Xeikon presses, we’ll dispatch your custom kiss-cut sticker sheets with FREE next-day UK delivery. This means we can have them with you in only # to # working days (unless artwork revisions are required).

  • FAQ

What is the quality of your printing like?

We only use Xeikon 3300 print presses which are renowned in the industry for unrivalled colour and detail. Plus, with such efficient run-speeds, we can offer this level of quality for some of the UK’s lowest prices.

Can I have multiple shapes on the sticker sheets?
Of course! You can include as many stickers in as many shapes as you like. With our laser-cutting technology, we can kiss-cut around even the most complicated shapes with ease.

    What are the limitations?
All you need to know is that there must be at least ##mm between each sticker, and that the cut lines must be at least #mm away from the sticker designs themselves. Each individually kiss-cut sticker must also be at least ##mm by ##mm in size.

What kiss-cut sheet sizes do you offer?
We can provide A6, A5, A4 or A3. If you need a completely custom size, please get in touch. We’ll still be able to help.

Can I order a sample pack?
Certainly. Please click here to request a free sample pack which highlights the print quality and all available options.

    What are the materials?
Your kiss-cut stickers can be provided in polypropylene vinyl, which is waterproof, weatherproof and extra durable, or paper, which is more cost-effective.

How should I supply the artwork?
We print each sheet as if it were one large sticker and then kiss-cut around all the designs on the sheet so they’re ready to be peeled off individually. This means you should supply the artwork for the entire sheet and not for individual stickers. You can either upload an EPS/AI file with a design layer and cut outline layer, or supply normal artwork (PDF/JPEG) and inform us of where you would like the kiss-cuts to be made. Remember, we offer a free manual review and PDF proof as standard, so your stickers won’t go to print unless you’re 100% happy with the designs and cut lines.

    • Font

To avoid any issues, make the fonts part of your original document through embedding, flattening or converting them to curves in the chosen design program.

For a more in-depth guide about font click here.

    • Bleed & Safe Area

All artwork supplied to us for print must have at least 3mm bleed and 3mm inner safe area on all trimmed edges. Please do NOT add crop marks.

For a more in-depth guide about bleed click here.

    • Resolution

Images need to have a minimum resolution of 300dpi. If artwork is generated at a lower resolution, then the quality of the final printed job will be affected.

For a more in-depth guide about resolution click here.

    • Clear Labels with Opaque & White Elements

The toners we use to print on clear materials are slightly transparent, this means that for the parts that you require to be opaque or to add full colour images we have to create a white base layer on the artwork behind the colour or image, this is achieved by creating a separate layer on your artwork named “white” and anywhere our press finds this colour it will print white toner (beneath the CMYK artwork, beneath images or on it's own).

We can set up your artwork in our design studio, please describe which areas you require to be white or opaque in the notes box on the upload artwork page.

Please be aware that if additional set up is required by our design studio this may delay turnaround time.

For an in-depth guide of how to setup labels with white elements please click here.

    • Labels with Metallic Elements

The way we create metallic colours is by using a silver substrate and applying a thin layer of CMYK toner to create the metallic colour required, when ordering please describe the colour required (or give the metallic swatch code from our color logic sheet which is included in all sample packs and can be ordered here FREE of charge) in the notes box at the upload artwork stage.

The parts that you do not require metallic we have to create a white base layer on the artwork, this is achieved by creating a separate layer on your artwork, named “white” and anywhere our press finds this colour it will print white toner beneath the CMYK artwork.

Any white parts on your design that are not named “white” will be printed in a silver metallic.

We can set up your white base for you here in our design studio, please describe which areas you do not require metallic in the notes box on the upload artwork page.

Please be aware that if additional set up is required by our design studio this may delay turnaround time.

For an in-depth guide of how to setup labels with metallic elements please click here.

    • Material & Finish Options

Think about the appearance you are trying to achieve for your label, some materials may darken or lighten the appearance of your artwork once printed.

The different finishes may also affect the way your labels appear, Matt effects will make the colours look a little dull or faded and a gloss finish might make them appear brighter.
